Rick and FarmerRick Brattin is the member of the Missouri State House of Representatives serving his fourth full term for the Missouri 55th District in Cass County. Elected in the general election of 2010, he was appointed as House Majority Floor Whip, chosen Freshman Class President, and received the Freshman Legislator Award two years in a row. He has been an active and prolific lawmaker sponsoring and cosponsoring several bills as a legislator. Always willing to take on tough important issues for our state and for Cass county.  Rick won re-election in 2012 to represent the new Missouri 55th District which inlcuded most of the previous 124th District of central Cass County. Running unopposed he won re-election in 2014 with over 97% majority vote. He won re-election for his fourth and final term in 2016 with a 63% majority vote. He is the Chairman of the Special committee of Government Oversight, also a Senior member on Local Government committee, and Veterans committee.

Rick was born in July 1980 and grew up in Greenwood, Missouri where he graduated from Lee's Summit High School. After graduating, he then joined the United States Marine Corps where he served for six years as a Non-commissioned Officer. Currently, Rick is owner of a small construction company for 12 years and tends a 40-acre farm in central Cass County north of Harrisonville.

He is blessed to have a beautiful wife, Athena, and a wonderful family with five amazing children Mariah, Kayla, Rick, Garrett and Hannah. He and his family are devoted Christians and members of Abundant Life. Rick is active throughout Cass County, and highly involved in his kids sporting events. He stands firm on conservative values and faith and will never waiver on these principles.
